I know the rule.. no blogging about work.. but this is worth it.. trust me..

I guess they were cleaning the vents at work today with bleach and it was pretty bad...good thing i am on vacation... but im a sucker and check my email at home because i want to make sure things are going ok.. and i get this email from our secretary about the vent cleaning..

I about lost it....

The smell on the floor is dissipating. Sorry for the incontinence, but the smell was coming from the vents. "Huber", the guys that do the up keep on the building were cleaning the coils in the air conditioner on top of the ceiling. They used bleach to clean it causing the smell.

so i got chewed this morning for not blogging.. evidently working 55 hours a week isnt reason enough to not blog for weeks..

So tonite over a dinner of some scrumptious spaghetti my dad and i were discussing his friend Rosemary. He was telling me that hillary clinton was doing a speech at some college in georgia where rosemary went to school or worked or something along that line.. and he evidently asked her the other day (sacastically becuase he doesnt think that rosemary cares much for Mrs Clinton) if she got her tickets to the conference. I guess rosemary was really.. huffy and like.. ugh i cannot stand that woman.. yadda yadda yadda.. so i told my dad "you should send her an autographed picture of her". Since my dad isnt all THAT knowledgable with the internet.. he asks.. how can you do that?? so of course... susie to the rescue..i tell him i can get a pic of her.. photoshop it and put her signature on it. he cracks up at the idea.

So, after dinner i go googling.. and find a picture.. and a signature..but i was having problems putting it together so we put a frame on it and my dad suggests that i just trace it and write an actual message on it.

I wrote before about the girl i worked with whose niece was kidnapped from her home about a month ago... well.. i read in the news that they found her body..

I think if he gets the death penalty... he should have done to him what he did to the girl... maybe if we did this people would think twice before commiting crimes..who knows..

I can only imagine what she went through before she died..and it makes me absolutely ill.

Single Male II - Round Two

I looked over the contest rules today..and i am amused.. and slightly annoyed.. but meh.. here goes...

c. Female applicants will be matched up with the single male and Male applicants will be matched up with the single female.

Shucks.. there goes my chance at renee... haha

d. Initial 1st round judging and elimination will be based on those applicants selected by most popular votes from the web site. Subsequent winners from round 2 to the final selected winnerswill be chosen by the single male, Travis Rycroft, and the single female, Renee Hill.

Votes from the website had NO effect on the outcome of this contest at all.. not even the 1st round..think of all the hits the peoria info site got and it didnt do anything..ha..and that is, for the record, the most..badly designed website i have ever been to..

e. Applicants must be present at each event to advance on to the next round.

Riiiight.. This is yet another rule that wasnt followed. Let me think. The first night 2 of the girls werent even there at all.. they showed up the following week and were allowed in due to the low turnout of the contest itself. Then, during the elimination round, one girl didnt even show up until 5 minutes before the actual elimination, thus missing the Q&A trivia round and other activities) and she got chosen to proceed. Even though theres no time limit on being present, she was one of the ones that wasnt there the first week at all. And to add to the irony of the whole situation - the two contestants with the highest votes (though they werent the judge of who proceeded and who didnt) were the two contestents that were eliminated.

Why make rules if you don't follow them.

I have found my biggest weakness... (with the exception of Zack haha *inside joke*).... and home of orgasmic ice cream...

They have the *best* ice cream I have ever had in my life..

You can build your own dish or use one of their classics and its all made fresh every day and they hand mix it right in front of you and.. mmmm.. its good.

I recommend anything with the "Cake Batter" ice cream as a base.. the stuff tastes just like you stuck your finger in a bowl of cake batter and licked it.. and for "mix ins" i get sprinkles, chocolate fudge and chocolate brownie. I got my dad some of their Apple Pie a la Cold Stone which is sweet cream ice cream, apples, cinnamon, graham cracker crusty stuff and caramel... it is to die for..

They have other base flavors: coffee, cheesecake, sweet cream, etc... and other mix-ins: kit cat, sprinkles, gumballs, gummi bears, yellow cake, brownies.. and yeah..its Yummy..

I love hockey...

Hockey game last nite was a blast. I bought a jersey (ive been wanting one for 2 years now), it was cheryls first hockey game with us, jeff took his son, and good times were had. We did have an incident with the "fans" in front of us though. Guy listening to play by play on his walkman and stuck up old lady with him kept getting mad when we would yell and cheer the team on. Um.. if you want quiet.. dont go to a game. They then proceeded to reprimand Tonya's kid because he jumped up in a heated "shot at goal" and obstructed their view for 1.5 seconds. Tonya reported them.. "no one tells her kids what to do - they came out of HER crotch, no one elses" HA! You tell em..

Quite amusing indeed..

Sarah and i ventured downtown after the game...went to Sully's for $1 Long Island Iced Teas.. Yummy... and guess who we saw? Travis! He was there w/ 2 of the rivermen and some chicas. But he did smile at me.. and then came by our table and said hello. How nice of him :) I wasnt sure whether i should have gone over and talked to him or not.. and i didnt say bye because their girls were hovering and i dont want to look like im stalking the poor guy (like one of the other competitors in the contest). Sarah did say that he watched us walk out and had the look like he was going to say something as we walked by... so i screwed that up i guess.. oh well.. We had fun.

We went to Richards and got food after Sullys. Needed something to absorb the 2 long islands, cheesecake shot and kool sex shot that i downed in less than a half hour. Satan and Jesus were on staff for the evening along with the awesome waitress. Based on Cianas recommendation we get a Dr. Pepper shot NOT KNOWING that its a "bomb" shot and we drop a flaming shot (yes you light it on fire) into a glass of beer. I hate beer. So me being a pussy...we just drank the shot itself - sans the beer. Jim, the guy that did my tattoo, showed up and we chatted for a bit.. he threw up the offer for me to have sex with him.. i denied.. talked a bit more.. and went on our way. Hes a cool guy.. owns Twisted Vision Tattoos and is a good artist. Check out the tat he did for me...

So we ate.. had some jaegerbombs (yummy) and by that state of blissful drunkenness we left.. carried on a gibberish yelling conversation w/ jeff ( or tried to anyway ) and went to the apt and kicked it for a while..

I talked to Zack for a while.. and i really like him.. totally awesome guy..and has good taste in music.. sarah and i are gonna go to chi-town sometime soon to party and he will be in tow hehe.

Peoria Radio...well... blows... to be quite honest..

travel anywhere..chicago..st louis.. you can find anything you want onthe radio.. why not here?

A friend of mine is a dj and we were discussing this at a bar one night..and i guess he didnt know i liked the whole techo/trance /industrial stuff..and was apalled that he found someone that actually knows what it is.. pathetic.

i was talking to a guy online today and he sent me some links to mixes he and others have made and i have filled my late morning/early afternoon with listening to these playlists..

Single Male II - First Elimination

OK... so voting is still open at the peoria info site

You can vote more than once from the same computer, IP, etc.. there is just a wait time basically and thats oh...about an hour, tops. so keep on voting!!!

Hopefully they will weed out the people not participating.

also more pics were taken so check out 99x's photo album and you can see who made the top 10 and other pics that were takin throughout the night.

Also, there is no elimination next wednesday...it will be the following wednesday.. same bat time same bat channel... so thats an extra week of voting! w00t!

and now.. a recap of the night.

So Sarah, Jeff, and I headed downtown to Sully's last nite for the Single Male Elimination round. Sarah ventured through the shot list and found some new fun drinks. Cherry Cheesecake shots are awesome! She said Kool Sex shots are good too. There were also Budweiser representatives down there promo-ing the new B2E energy beer. I hate beer. This stuff is good. It has ginseng and other "make you happy" stuff in it and it doesnt have a nasty beer aftertaste. We got free sample cups and Jeff got the guy to bring a couple cans to our table too.

Briana joined us shortly after the first round of drinks and our food order. she is awesome! if i get nothing else out of this experience - meeting her would be worth it. she is a fellow contestant and fun person to hang out with. we exchanged phone numbers this week and plan on going to some hockey games and hanging out in the future. i really want her to make top 5 so im going to try and vote for her on the site because i am pretty sure that the website is still going to choose who gets eliminated. she is currently lowest in votes (she knows no one in peoria) so im going to try my best to get her in the top 5.

So my fear happened. there were about 3 girls that showed up last nite that didnt show up last week... and since we only had 5 contestants, they let them participate anyway...which i think is a load of crap..but oh well.. these are the names of everyone that made it (in order of appearance on the peoria info site) : Anita Rose Thomas, Tracy Neveau, Me, Katy Ferguson*, Erin Jeffries*, Tracy Lane, Carol Williams*, and Briana Karczewski. (the ones w/ the * by their names are the ones that showed up for the first time last nite.) there were some that were there last week that didnt show this week... so i dont know if they will still be allowed to participate or not.

There were two events of the night... the first was a Battle of the Sexes competition. since there were 11 guys and only 9 girls some of us got to go twice... i got my question right which was awesome but then briana and i went again together and got our question wrong..so we lost..but hey i dont feel so bad not knowing which of the following is not a brand of chewing tobacco.. yech.
The second event wasnt sponsored by the radio or anything. it was more of a game that briana, tracy, tracys friend kelly, and i played during "mingle times." One of the contestants is obsessed with Travis... granted he is hot.. but good lord... there were also a few of the rivermen down there at a table and this girl would NOT leave them alone either. she was either at their table or latched onto travis... so anytime she was up on him, the four of us would go talk to him...thus him having to direct his attention away from her.. and same w/the table of players... we did the same except the table of players said that we were their heroes.. i know i am an awful person for being that way but travis said himself "she is trying too hard" and it makes everyone uncomfortable...

so yeah..the nite was fun.. our tab was $90.. i owe sarah bigtime.. i left with a really nice buzz thanks to her... she got some pics of briana and i, her and jeff, and travis, briana and i (which turned out awesome) which will all be posted to my webshots as soon as sarah uploads them and yeah...

I am sure that we would all agree that we resemble a celebrity in some way, shape, or form... I know i have. Have you all seen "The American President?" When i was working at Panera i had a guy come in and swear up and down for 10 minutes that i looked like the president's daughter.. riiight..

Then there is bill.. who thinks i look like Kellie Martin. I remember her being my idol when i was 8 years old..but i dont think i look like her at all!!!

The most popular suggestion is Katie Holmes. EVERYONE says i look like her(though i can pretty much guarantee im 100lbs heavier than she is) but in the face and mainly the eyes i can say i think i kinda resemble her... So i looked at some pics of mine..compared them.. and here we have it..

this one looks kinda like my single male bio pic on the peoria info site..maybe if she would SMILE once in a while.. geez..

there are more pics at my webshots i just didnt feel like messing with it anymore...

So... kellie martin...i dont think so.. if i were going on celebrity lookalikes i would have a better chance w/ katie i believe..

and i must say..that was pretty easy... im beginning to enjoy this whole blogging experience.. its a lot easier to post pics IN a post... i like that better than links... thanks bill!!!

i want to thank everyone who went to peoria info and voted...

they are still accepting votes and you CAN vote more than once.. i am in the top 5 of the contestants on the site and if you take out everyone who wasnt there for qualifications i would be in second place.. w00t! thanks again everyone!

we have an "elimination" tonite. what i am fearing at this point is that the girls that werent there last week are going to show up this week and they will let them participate. they told us before that we HAD to be at the kickoff party to be a contestant so if they allow more people then i think its bs.. but oh well. if they do elimination by votes im still in the top 10.. well.. top 5 even.. but yeah..

Single Male II

Sooo.. there is this thing that Regent Broadcasting is sponsoring called the Single Male II competition. Girls participate to win a date w/ Peoria Riverman Travis Rycroft and the guys participate to win a date w/ last years winner Renee Hill.

I dont really know what i was thinking at the time - but i entered the competition...

Only 8 of the 20 girls that signed up at www.peoriainfo.com showed up and about 12 of the guys showed.. some competition this is.. lol

We have an elimination round on the 26th at sullys again... so it should be interesting..

Now.. the peoria info site is still up and counting votes as we speak.. so everyone should go there.. and vote for me :) i'm not as pretty as half the others... so i need all the help i can get at this point hehe

I am Furious...

I wish people knew how to commit to things that they say they are going to do - seriously.

At the beginning of the season i had 4 santas.. and now i have 2. why? because one decided he didnt like working with the kids that much (?!?!?!?!!) and the other guy had mandatory OT put on his schedule at the factory he worked for and just cant do it.. and one of the last 2 wants to quit but knows if he does.. i will shoot him..

I need to find another santa... this christmas has been miserable and i can tell its not going to get any better and it really sucks.. *sigh*

Im so excited about Christmas coming up. And i normally hate the holidays becuase I have always worked at a mall but this Christmas is going to be awesome!

Last year I was the assistant manager of a "kiosk" (if you can call it that) at the Grand Prairie mall where we took and sold pictures of kids with santa. I had this woman as a manager who could probably challange hitler for power. But this year the owners called me and asked me to work for them again, but this time, I am manager and the raving bitch will not be participating. hooray! So far, Dustin and Sarah are going to be working with me along with Charlene (possibly) and i have 2 of the Santas we had last year.

Now... i have only have 2 more things to do to fulfill my obligation to the company.. extra cashiers and a santa for a charity event that i cant seem to be able to staff.

Anyone interested?? Bill... youd make an awesome santa *hint hint*

I must now take the time to thank Bill for setting this up for me... though its going to take a while for me to get used to it I'm sure... It is a lot like livejournal, but as you said, more advanced. We shall see how things go...

I must also say that yahoo's launchcast radio rocks my world. I can listen to whatever genre of music i want or make my own station... and it has kept me entertained all day. Entertainment has been very necessary with how crappy i have felt..
